Concours Sarthe Endurance

A few months ago I decided to enter the annual Concours Endurance Photos competition run by the Council of Sarthe and the ACO. The idea of the competition was to enter photographs that were taken at a round of the FIA World Endurance Championship (or Le Mans). I haven’t had the chance to attend Le Mans before due to my college studies so I entered a photograph that I’d taken whilst on a spectator weekend at the FIA WEC at Silverstone.
I entered the above photograph titled ‘A New Challenger’ of the Toyota TS030 Hybrid competing in the afternoon sunlight at the Silverstone 6 Hours.
I was lucky enough to win a prize in the competition. Two tickets to Le Mans – I’m hugely honoured to have won the prize and never even dreamt that I could have this opportunity. Although I didn’t come first in the competition I’m pleased with the result and it should be a great week of motorsport. Needless to say I’m very much looking forward to my first visit to Le Mans.
See you all there!
